چکیده

Mo6+ doping increases the photoelectrochemical performance of BiVO4 photoanodes in water oxidation. Here we elucidate underlying mechanisms through a systematic structural, morphological and investigation on photoelectrodes pure doped prepared by novel multi-step spin coating deposition approach, leading to multilayer flat films with high optical transparency. Transient absorption spectroscopy nano- micro-second time scale reveals longer lifetime photogenerated holes films. Besides confirming that ions improve electron transport material bulk, impedance also crucial role dopant surface properties photoanodes. The presence intra band gap states, acting as traps charge carriers BiVO4, is detected build-up interfacial state capacitance. limited activity oxidation largely improved upon 3 at% incorporation, ensuring more efficient carrier respect together beneficial passivation its trap states. Mo doping-enhanced dye absorption of Bi2Se3 nanoflowers

A simple solvothermal approach is explored to prepare Bi2-xMoxSe3 nanostructures by employing N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) as the solvent. Mo plays an important role in the assembly of the Bi2-xMoxSe3 nanostructures from nanoplates to nanoflowers. Structural and morphological studies indicate that the resulting products are large specific surface area single-crystalline Bi2-xMoxSe3 nanoflowers s...

Marked enhancement in electron-hole separation achieved in the low bias region using electrochemically prepared Mo-doped BiVO4 photoanodes.

Mo-doped BiVO4 electrodes were prepared by an electrochemical route for use as photoanodes in a photoelectrochemical cell. The purpose of Mo-doping was to improve the electron transport properties, which in turn can increase the electron-hole separation yield. The poor electron-hole separation yield was known to be one of the main limiting factors for BiVO4-based photoanodes. The electrochemica...
